Well well well, this is new. My first EVER makeup tutorial! I know there are a gazillion ways to do this, fancy lighting, backdrops, etc. But this is just me on my bathroom floor, hoping to make it feel like you are there with me and just walking through the steps. I was hired by MAC Cosmetics in 2004, right after I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in Social Work. (Clearly, I wasnt’ ready for the corporate, clinical world). I started as a part-time artist, moved into a full time artist, and then became a key manager of the store in Carlsbad, CA. I was a everything from a product specialist to working in artist training and development. LA Fashion Week was an annual experience and a lot of free-lancing for weddings. I had no idea what the makeup world was preparing me for, but I am SO grateful for the experience. These days, I rarely wear a FULL face of makeup, but I love look ALIVE, fresh and polished whenever possible.
I apologize if you think my voice gets annoying, I totally get it. BUT I hope this helps simplify your routine and give you a few quick tips for fall!
There is a list of the products I used below the video, with links to purchase them online. Most of these links direct you to Nordstrom or other major stores, so if you are cautious about buying makeup online, you know Nordies will always return anything.. even if it’s open!
First, the moisturizer!
MAC STROBE CREAM
MAC Bamboom Eye Paint
Also, I get asked all the time how I travel with my makeup. When I am flying or just going to free-lance jobs and I need to bring MOST of my kit, I use this bag.. It’s perfect!
MAC TRAVEL MAKEUP BAG
When I am at home and just keep the essentials contained, I use this smaller bag!
